Got the ipad air on friday. The second iphone didn't have the problem I have the apple case on my ipad, so i don't know whether mine has a light bleed problem or not Given the tendency of shiny apple things to show scratches, i'd recommend that you get a case
That would prevent the distraction from any light leaking at the edges, too.
